Too often I see the jaw drop when clients see the price for painting a new project. This happens for a number of reasons. The main one is that they have not painted in a long time. And forget how much work is involved. The other reason is that the last time they painted it was a small 10 x 10 room with one window and one door.
Today's painters work hard for their money. They caulk, plaster, prime and put on the finish coats. While doing this they also leave your home clean without the customer having to lift a finger.
Get a few quotes before you hire a painter, and compare apples to apples. Some will make it shine like it should and others will be in and out.
If you still forget what painting is like for the soul, start out small and plan the project properly. You will be surprised how often we start and realize that we forgot to get some of that quick drying plaster - called "Dab".
